We were blessed to be included in the will of a former volunteer who passed away. We bought a 60 inch. big screen t.v. for our recreation room. (The room is quite large, needless to say.) It is wonderful. Our guys love it for football, and boxing. We use it as a "theater," for special occasions. For example, our Halloween party is in the morning this year (because of our entertainer's schedule,) so we will be showing scary movies on it in the afternoon. It really was a worthwhile purchase. good luck to you.

: I just purchased two 36" TV's for our facility. One is going on the Alzheimers Unit. That size is adequate and has a nice clear picture. You cannot get an analog TV that is larger than 36" without going into projection screen or High Definition. Projection tv's are not good for residents since when you are off to the side, you lose the clarity, color and the picture is blurred. I looked at several of them. High definition tv is great if your facility will foot the bill for the added HD programming from your cable co. Mine would not and even though the screen was bigger, 40", the picture was not sharp and blurry without the HD signal. All four of our units now that 36" and they love them. One more suggestion, when you get tv's this big, they are heavy and need an adequate stand, the ones I bought had a stand with it that the tv locked into place on it. The tv is almost 300 pounds. I also bought a 5 year inhouse warranty for around 100.00 so when it needs to be serviced, we don't have to try and get it out to a shop, they come to us to get it and fix it. Kathi
