I thought that I would go first...

We have a small, 3 shelf cart that we keep stocked with tons of items for our sensory group. I wheel the cart to the living room where around 12 residents are waiting for our group. (we do this before lunch time) This cart is used on a daily basis, 7 days a week.

The cart has several different types of plastic containers filled with many items such as: extracts, cotton balls, picture books, lots of calendars with great pictures, magazines, sensory items (vibrating pillow, water pat-a-mat, textures, scents, aromatherapy machine, nature sounds, old time music selections, reminiscing cards, chalk boards, felts and felt board, plastic fruit, old apron, cinnamon, cloves, resin rooster and hen, plastic brown eggs in a basket - we talk about gathering eggs, bubble machine, fiber optic light, stuffed animals, baby doll and care items, cards, games, craft items - everything that you need prepared into a zip-lock bag, books on tape with machine, stationery, coloring pictures that are adult in nature, colored pencils, crayons...etc

I hope that this information helps. We also take this cart on in-room visits. It is very helpful.
