Hi--
I am starting my new job tomorrow as Activities Director for an assisted living home. I am so excited! I was offered the job this morning, after filling out the application about four weeks ago and two interviews with the administrator. While looking for ideas to get familiar with this new opportunity, I found this site. Do any of you have a bit of advice for a new AD? It's a small home, with about 20 residents. I know there will be ups and downs, but I am so looking forward to getting to know the residents. Any hints for this newbie who is starting from scratch would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
