sounds as though the first thing you need to do is to get an initial assesment form that IS going to tell you what you need to know. If you are a rapid turn-over facility, you may be able to get this form family when they are admitted.

One-to one visits are often the only thing you can do, both to find out more about them and to provide programing for those that are either too busy or to depressed to participate. If there are certain things you need to know, enlist the aids in finding out during their care times.

I saw a poster once that said something like, Activity Directors have been doing so much with so little for so many so long that now they want us to do everything with nothing.
