In our state we would call the state department of transportation. Our "bus" was purchased through a matching grant about 13 years ago. It holds three wheelchairs plus the seats. It is considered a 15 passenger in our state and no CDL is required to drive it.
: I am an Activity Director in a rural/smalltown personal care home, 38 residents. We do lots of trips out and have a small schoolbus, but it is not handicap acessible for wheelchairs. What do other facilities use, and where can you buy used vans/buses,I would like to be able to hold 2 wheelchairs and no CDL license required for the vehicle. Thanks for any help. Terri
