Wgat was going on in your location 35 years ago? What did your residents do for fun then? This was the time they were active so recreate some of the activities they did. Maybe a car club would have a showing, a sports club/personality would come visit, radio station could do a Golden Oldies show from your facility, Show movies one night a week from that era. Have a Progressive dinner from one area of the facility to another. Game night with dominoes, checkers, spoons, porker night. Hold a dance and get dressed up, a cocktail party, or tailgate party for a sporting event on TV. Most of all ask your residents for suggestions.
