When my husband's grandparents passed away we had a service for each of them. We did a remember the person where each person said what they remembered about them. The family talked even my daughters who at the time were between 9 and 14. We had programs with a little about grandpa or grandma on it. As a family we had the family Pastor come and speak. We served cookies and coffee or tea and after and talked about them. It was a good way to finish the time we had at the AL. After all it's for the living not the person who has passed. Make sure though that you include the family.
