Sorry about your old job. It's good that you were able to stay with the same organization. I know what its like to be forced from a job. While it was tough at first, I am happy with the move. the older I get, the more I believe that everything happens for a reason. Look for us in the mail!
: hey all
: my position (AL Activities Coordinator)was eliminated (budget cuts) so rather than go jobless i accepted another position at a 'sister' community as the Assisted Living AND Alzheimers Unit Activities Coordinator. i've been at the new facility for a week and so far so good (there are lots of old people to fall in love with here too) but i really miss my residents/friends and 'some' of the staff at my former facility. decisions based on the bottom-line ($$$$)rather than the HUMANS(residents) who are affected by those decisions piss me off! you cannot put a price on doing the right thing. try telling that to the number crunchers (i used to be one of them).
:
: Anyways......I'm going to start a post card club at the new facility so i was hoping that you all would send my new residents a card.
: my new address is:
: Westminster Suncoast
: 6909 9th St S
: St Petersburg, Florida 33705
: ATTN: Debra Duff
: Assisted Living Activities
: POST CARD CLUB
: i will be updating the list and emailing it to everyone who's email address i have. if you don't get it i don't have your email address so send me the name of your facility and your email address and i'll add you to the email list.
: there are many facilities who have not sent cards...if you read this and are not willing or able to send cards let me know so that i can remove you from the list....i'm going to start purging the list of the facilities who have not sent cards.
