We had great success one time with a traditional Christmas bag (are we talking about CHristmas?), where we put nuts, candy and fruit in a brown paper bag. We folded the top of the bag over, puched two holes and tied ribbon through the holes to hold it together. We also stamped it with a pretty Christmas stamp. They loved it.

Other Christmas gifts have been a tear away calendar that we put a collage of pictures together for the main picture (I'm not sure if that made sense). This year, we found cute snowman bags on Oriental trading that we will fill with peppermints.

I hope this helps.
