I believe in our state (MT)the regulation only states that the needs of the residents shall be met. That is the needs in five different areas. I try to schedule according to the fluctuating needs as defined by the residents. Of course we are always being challenged by needs vs wants. I do feel our residents play a very active role through committees and resident council in establishing what they want. I try to have two activities in the morning, two in the afternoon and one about three times a week in the evening. This is Monday through Saturday now. We also try to have two or three activities on Sunday. I am fortunate that my administration sees the value of active residents!!!!!!
: Can anyone tell me if there is a set number of activities that need to be done each day? I know it will probably differ from state to state. I work in a long term facility in Nebraska. Thanks.
