I have had the same with my high fuctioning residents. We did this activity called Continueing Education. This activity was held once a week and it lasted for an hour and some days it lasted even longer. Each week we would discuss one of the Presidents of the United States. We started with Washington and went through the list.( it was easier to keep track that way who we have talked about)It was very interesting to hear what the residents knew about each one. We also went online to get as much info about each one as possible. We then discussed each state in the US. If a staff member was from a certain state we asked them to share what they could about "their" state as well as allowing the resdients to tell their stories.then We talked about famous woman and men in History. ect the list was endless. Some residents felt it kept their minds strong and was able to still learn new things. Hope this is useful.
