Got a call at home at 8:00 pm this evening that the surveyors are on our unit. Tomorrow is my scheduled day off and I have scheduled it full- will stop in to print them a draft of next month's calendar but I can't be there with them tomorrow- they'll just have to get over it. In the past surveyors have been very understanding that our patients (hospital based) are sicker than the average LTC resident but we have had a very rapid turn-over this summer (average length of stay just dipped under 10 days) and I have several assessments still in the To Do pile on my desk. Oh well-- next week we have Joint Commission surveyors. Maybe the week after that, I'll take a vacation.OR be looking for a job--- Coster
