: Does any have any advice on good interviewing. I am so confident before the interview but once i get there and the questions are beinging asks i go blank. OH! by the i'm not new to the site but new to posting a message. You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!
I would suggest some visual aides. Put together a portfolio of your accomplishments (Certificates from NCCAP or other liscensing bodies, workshops, seminars,inservices,etc...) Include photos of your work, like bulletin boards, displays, special projects,etc... Include prgram descriptions that you have persoanlly come up with. This may be the springboard to help you communicate more effectively. You would be talking about something you are familiar with, which should put you at ease. Also, be honest about your nervousness. It helps to keep in mind that people in this line of work are generally compassionate and understanding. Anticipate the questions, and even bring a list of answers with you. You can always pull it out of your pocket, if you need it. Oh, and the best tip I ever got was this: when the time comes for the dreaded "What would you say is your worst weakness?" Try this as an answer "If anything, I'd say I am a perfectionist. I like the job done the right way, the first time." I love that answer! Good luck to you.
