: Can anyone help me with activity and decoration ideas on a very low budget?
Here's a couple of things I've done on the cheap.
Make napkin rings for a holiday dinner with chunky slices of cardboard toilet paper rolls. Decorate with fabric scraps, contact paper or wallpaper scraps.
Cut the shape of a gingerbread man (only about 12-15 inches high) from whatever scraps you have. Sew around, leaving a space to stuff. Draw a face on a circle of iron-on patch fabric with fabric paints and iron it on.
Get a bunch of cheap plastic bangle bracelets from the Goodwill. Glue each to a sheet of waxed paper and let dry. Fill in the space inside the bracelet with blue gel glue. Drop in some dried flowers and a bit of glitter. Cover with a bit more glue. When dry (it can take a week) gently peel off the waxed paper. They look super in a window.
Note: I go to the Goodwill or other thrift stores every week. They have all sorts of stuff that is great for crafts and the mugs, run through the dishwasher are great prizes.
