STOP! Get a new job as the facility doesn't support activities or the concept. And after you and a few other activity people leave they may get the hint! Do what you can and don't take work home with you. For 43 people first find out what the residents want to do and then assist them in setting it up and following through. IF they want Bingo on the Assisted Living unit, then train them to do their own game. Find crafts that they can be set up with and then left. Be an enabler of independence and then work with the Alzheimer residents. Don't feel guilty..........just do what you can with the hours provided. If it's a corperate policy to have 6 activities a day, then they truely don't understand activities at all.
