: We are having a Father's Day Breakfast and I wanted to go with a sport theme....baseball or golf maybe. Does anyone have any centerpiece ideas? What about a give-away item? Thanks!

One year we celebrated Ugly Tie Day" on father's Day in honor of their least favorite gift. I wnet to a thrift store and managed to work a deal to buy 50 ties (it's a Veterans Home) at 25 cents each. I sent half of them to an 4th grade class who wanted to do a service project and asked them to deocorate them with fabric paints and pens (I sent those along too) the rest I made into bows for flower arrangements, stuffed "snakes", and fabric flowers. The snakes I put on the walls, the rest, I decorated potted plants with. Each man got a painted tie and we raffled off the plants.
