I just did a 50's evening this week. We made a 10 foot icecream sundae. We bought a new rain gutter (under $5) and end caps and sealed them on the ends. It took about 4 gallons of ice cream, 32 oz of whipped cream a squeeze bottle of chocolate, caramel and toffee, bananas, frozen strawberries. The department heads scooped the ice cream and the residents put the toppings on. Then we dished it into bowls. They LOVED it!!!
I took clip art of ice cream sodas, records, music notes etc and blew them up colored them and taped to windows. I made a big sign that said "Big Daddys".
: I am asking for ideas for a 50's Day. We are going to do a Staff Surprise in the main lobby and it'll be a hula hoop contest....sure to bring lots of laughs. I figured we would do ice cream floats, we have Elvis coming, but I need more ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
