In WalMart last night I saw something you could use - It was used to make S'mores. Think it was called "S'More Maker". I didn't take time to look at it but it wasn't much and looked interesting and something a LTC or ALF could use safely. Ask your residents what they took on picnics - maybe cold meatloaf sandwiches, fried chicken, potato salad, jello, macaroni salad, egg salad sandwiches. Things that food services could make ahead and give everyone an easy Holiday. Use paper plates & plastic table service to throw away! Other departments love it when Activities makes their job easier.

: We are going to have a 4th of July BBQ. The only problem is that here in Arizona it will be 115 degrees. Certainly not outside conditions.
: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I thought about bringing a make believe camp fire in to have campfire stories around. I'd like to serve BBQ of some sort too, but I don't know what would be appropriate. Thanks
