Do you have a local VFW Auxiliary? IF so, they should be saving 'cancelled stamps' from letters. I have my residents save the stamps from all the cards and letters they get, cut 1/4 inch around the stamps, count them and put them into baggies for our local auxiliary. We also do the Campbell soup labels and pull tabs from soda cans. Our men have a group that sand and put together the wooden cars/trains/etc and we donate them to the local Salvation Army at Christmas.

: Hi all!
: I am looking for suggestions for service oriented activities. I need things that our residents can do to benefit others. For example at a facility I used to work at we made baby caps for a local hospital. I need these kinds of things for our people to do. Any other ideas?

: Thanks!
