No I do not work for them or would I ever work for them. You deserve a budget or cart blanche. Does nursing have to raise money for bandaids. The money that the govt. is paying out to take care of these people should be shared with your department. Private pay also deserves better.

I do not have any idea how much money I am even allowed to spend. The first time I seen it I was told that I was allowed 120.00 if we had a full census. About two months later she took 40.00 from that buget because she said I do not spend that much. She told me that she would give it back if I needed it. Instead she started hounding me about going over my buget. I was so upset about it. So the office manager had extra that she did not spend. She asked the aministrator to add to my budget and she did. The administrator never breathed a word of it to me. That extra added would have put me back up to 120.00. I spend very little money. I spend about 40.00 a month on bingo. And about 5.00 on fingernail supplies. This month I had not asked for any money because I had been using quarters donated to me by a faimly member, until today. I asked her for 20.00 for quarters. And she got mad. She said that I am to raise my own bingo money. Now, I understand raising money if I am going over my budget. But I do not figure I have to raise it if I am not. My boss says it the company, which is new to us, who is making me do this. But when they took over she told me that I would have to stay in this budget and that was the one I seen. The one and only. I know I do not go over that amount. I rarely spend 80.00. Anyway, I am very upset about this. She made me cut bingo back to 2 times weekly already. I pay quarters to the winners. And a dollar for balckout. My residents love bingo and they love to win the quarters. They save them up and buy things. I just do not know what to do. I feel like the residents are being cheated. I am being cheated. I have to spend all my time raising money just to play bingo. I know I have a set amount. But she will not let me see it. Anyway, I wondered if anyone else workded for this company. And if anyone had some good advice.
