: I am planning a low impact exercise routine for seniors. This will be an indoor group activity. Does anyone have any creative ideas? I plan to do some stretching, catching balloons, etc. Also, any suggestions on music to go with type of activity? Thanks!

I have some ideas that might help. We do Table top Ball toss where we set the residents around 4 tables and we throw in about 5 to 6 beach balls and they have to keep the balls on the table. It is very good arobic exercise as well as being a whole lot of fun.
I also do scarf exercise where we do all kinds of things with them. We twirl them over our heads, we wave them back and forth, we take them up high and down low. This is all to music, Big band or other fast pace music.
I've recently started one called cane hockey. The residents get very competitive with this one. If you want the directions or some more my email is fosterkat@msn.com
