Ok...here is my situation. I am an AD for independent and AL (mostly independent)residents. After meeting with my boss, she tells me that things have to look busy, be loud and show that activities are happening. We are a very big building, so my activities happen throughout the building. She is worried how it looks when there is nothing happening in the main lobby/dining room. I do not have an assistant, I have about 100 residents and you all know what else we all do. My question to you is how many activities do you lead per day? I told her that at my planning meetings they all tell me there is too much to choose from, that they are happy with the calendar and she's wanting me to fix a problem we don't even have. There was no reasoning with her either. Some days I lead 2-3 activities and other days 1. I spend a lot of time on the computer making flyers, doing the newsletter and calendar and she tells me I need to be leading more activities. I guess I want to hear from you to see what you do. I think it is excellent that my indep. people do scrabble, cont. ed, euchre, bridge on their own, but she seems to think I should be doing more on top of all of the behind the scenes stuff. HELP!
