In any event, my heart goes out to you and it appears that you are tapping into to many differnt resources to help solve your dilemma.I too, use to manage a group home for MR and this message board is not quailified to give advice as we are involved in the aging process for the most part. I see two options available to you at this point. Either the mother takes this son into her home(I did this with my sister who is MR and NEVER regretted the sacrifices I made) or contact with the Department of Mental Retardation in her state and have a meeting of the minds.
