Like eileen, I've had goo success with themed sensory kits. In addition to purses, for women we also have a home sweet home kit with silver dish, framed baby photos. lace doilies and so on. We also included a poem or two, some bounce questions and pictures on the theme. some kits have a tape of appropriate music. Other themes we've made: SCHOOL DAYS (lunch box with old reader, handwriting book, primary crayons, etc). BUSINESS (briefcase with a large colection of business cards, fountain pen, file folders and papers and letter opener)MY HOME TOWN (a cloth shopping bag with movie tickets, assorted keys, old-fashioned prescription boxes, newspaper articles)MEN'S CLUB (an old cigar box with a tie, pocke size tools, match book[matches removed]after shave, an old shaving brush)A TOOL BOX filled with unusual tools new and old.

We've had some sucess at getting families to make a memory box just for their loved one with photos and souveniers.
