I heard of this kind of thing before, but not in a few years. What usually happens is someone is hurt and the family sues. One time, a resident was depressed and killed herself and the family said it was Activities fault for not keeping her busy although the resident refused activities daily, eventually, the Act. staff stopped writing it down, so they could not prove they had even tried.
Word goes around through the Administrators organization and suddenly everyone in that state is signing up for liability insurance. Never heard of it coming from the Activiy budget, however.
