I am a Community Director is South Carolina. I also was a Community Director in North Carolina. I have come across this situtaion before, when a resident was interested in helping. You do not have to pay the resident if they want to do the project. As far as I know there is nothing in the regs against this. It seems to me if we were not allowing our residents to help if they wanted to we would be infringing on their individual rights. The Doctor is wrong on this one!
