Fresh flowers are the main idea here. They can just be left off the tables where highest risk residents eat. (or use violets or nasturshums or some other edible flower)

We have some volunteer groups who ocasionally bring fresh garden flowers, sometimes in glass containers. We stick them to the tables with florist clay. It takes a pretty good tug to dislodge them.
