hello, I work in a SE ohio nursing home as ACT DIR.
i also used folding towels and other linen as a therapy, but we had to have our own source and it could not be used as part of the nursing home, for the reasons stated previously by others,ie;sanitary,work related, the residents really dont mind this, as long s they feel they are doing something useful, we keep our own basket of linen and laundry washes it as needed. i too felt they should be able to help out freely, but the administrator said they would have to wear gowns and gloves and i felt that was a little demeaning, after all this is their home.....right?
